One in every five European citizens still struggles to buy food. This European campaign against poverty aimed to raise citizen awareness and to support a few poignant actions to diminish this scourge. In 2010, we were appointed to implement the national Belgian campaign that focused on three visible actions: a manifesto signed by Belgian personalities to express outrage at poverty; a public performance during the Belgian national independence day; the distribution of a black and white testimony book to opinion leaders.
Poverty is still a critical issue in Belgium but more and more people are now open to take part in actions that may relieve the problem.
